Crazy Cool

Kate Schintzius' apartment via Design Sponge

Loving it! The whole thing:)
I think my house might be slowly moving in this beautiful, colorful, sort of out there but cool direction. At least I like to think it is:)

D-Signed

Have you seen this line at Target? It's designed by "Sonny Monroe" from Disney's Sonny with a Chance. Now I'm not going to lie, it's not my favorite Disney show and yes, I do have a favorite Disney Show:) But the clothes? They're awesome! Well most of them! I think there are a few pieces that are a little um...much for little girls but the tops especially are so cute! They are also pretty reasonable. This jacket was around $24, the dog shirt was $12 and the sparkle sweatshirt was $14. For those prices I am tempted to buy everything they have in AK's size (within reason of course!) It is definitely worth checking out though! Especially if you are like me and you have inadvertantly made your child fashion conscious at a young age.

I is for...Inspiration, l is for love(s)

Max Wagner

Ok this shirt is the coolest concept! This photographer has a shirt a month that is based off of one of his photos! How COOL! I want it! Actually I want all of them! They are all so unique! Like secret works of art!

This would be the most wonderful present...for anyone. This particular one was a father's day gift. But, I think it would be great for a friend, or co worker or mom. Anyone you think is incredible!

I will be painting my house this color. Or a color close to it! Actually I want Gentleman's Gray by Benjamin Moore. I am in love with dark houses this year!
Nichole at Parlour

This light makes me happy...I have been trying to figure out where I can hang one just so I have an excuse to make it! Yes, make it! It's a Chinese lantern with coffee filters glued to it!Doesn't that just seem fun and high style all at once?

Screech Owl Designs

I love this...it is the perfect combination of an iconic design with a little whimsical nature thrown in! And a bonus, it's actually affordable!

Oh and lastly this teeny necklace is wonderful and I think I am going to make one mine:) I'll put my baby girl's initials on one side and my hubby's on the other!

I hope you love these things and are as inspired by them as I am! I think lovely inspiration is the perfect start to a week!

All over...

My Camera has been all over the place (courtesy of Ava Kate)...
I have been all over the place...dragging my hubby with me!
and these will be all over the place come Halloween...

My mind is all over the place too, as if you can't tell. I'll be back later with some sweet inspiration(from all over the place...ha!), if I can get it all together:)
Happy Monday!

Feast

Ok seriously...UGG and Jimmy Choo? Be still my heart! Love them...fringe, stars, ahh!
Now if only I could round up the $695 I need to pre-order them:) I would so be on cloud nine if I could do that. For now I will just stare at them and go and put on my now kind of boring looking chocolate UGG's! ha!

Oh...and go here! For real! Talk about inspiration! If you get Southern Living, Lucy's house was in it with a few measly pictures! So me being me, I googled her until I found her sister's photography site and this wonderful, in depth tour of her house that they did! I thought I was in love when I read the magazine article. That has nothing on all of the pictures on the website:) So go have a look...get inspired and enjoy her take on mixing the old with the new effortlessly!

Oh and that hallway? I am swooning over here! I would kill for just half of those shelves!

Crafty, Crafty

I've been trying my hardest to get my Halloween decorations up but I seem to be adding more things to make to my list rather than crossing things off:) I changed out my candles in the basket on my table. The Target dollar spot has the best scrap-booking paper! It's usually seasonal but when you can find it, it is wonderful! That's what I used to cover the candles.
This package came with eight sheets and six of them were sparkly! Love them!
Then I had a whim to make a knock off of Martha's wreath!
I found my corn husks at the grocery store. They're for making tamales. They were $1.97 and I think I can make many, many more wreaths with what was in this package. And this package was the smallest that they had! Besides hot gluing my finger to the wreath form (that I got at the Dollar Tree) this project was easy and pain free:)
Then I moved on to this little fall topiary. I saw one like it a Hobby Lobby and I loved it but it was more than I wanted to pay. (Next time I go I'll take a picture of it)
So, my pictures of how I did it are out of order... of course and I am totally not fighting blogger to re do them so...this is after I spray painted the whole thing black and glued my dollar tree pumpkins/gourds together in a stack.
Ha! here is before I spray painted it:)
And here is where I started to wire it together.
And...here is the beginning with my garden stakes (.89 at Home Depot) and my wire ($3 at Home Depot). If you want more in depth directions I will gladly re-order my pictures and do a tutorial! It was way easy and cost me about a third of what the original one cost!

I hope everyone is enjoying this Fall weather as much as I am!
