Sweet new, old floors

I'm sure that you've seen this hallway before! It is the most used room in our house by far and the floors show that. They are pine, which is apparently a very soft wood. So, combine that with two big dogs and a toddler and they were just falling apart. I decided rather than spend the thousand dollars...that we don't have:)... on new floors I would fill the bad spots and paint them! Here's a before...And a few afters. One with a very beautiful and happy model:) She was very excited about this project! Can you tell? Oh and please excuse the spots on the picture...my very happy model was the previous operator of the camera and it has juice spots on the lens as proof!

It seems she snuck into the bottom of this picture as well...like I said she was excited to show off this project!
I still have to finish off the edges of the white. Since it is a wood floor, the cracks led to lots of running paint...but all in all I am a happy camper and the floors look a million times better!!!

Show Us Your Life...The Wedding Dress Edition

I am so excited about this edition!! I love wedding dresses and I am looking forward to seeing everyone's!! I knew exactly what dress I wanted when we got married and I was super lucky that I found it on my first try:) I actually got it at David's Bridal and it is an Oleg Cassini...I fell in love and that was that. I still love it and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Ava will want to wear it (in my dreams right?) I only have these two pictures on my new computer and I am far too lazy to go and download more so these will have to do...

Oh and if you look closely at this one the Hubby is holding my boquet...not sure what the photographer was going for with that:)

Oh and BTW

This little girl right here...is turning 2 in three days! Lordy, where did the time go and how do I stop it from flying?

Ok I love this door knob coat rack from Pottery Barn! It has all my faves, vintage door knobs, numbers...heaven for me. But I just am not going to pay what they want for it! No siree! So I'm going to our local junk store today to forage through their door knobs, and see if I can find a few that are to my liking. If I do...look out PB here I come! I'll show you if it works and I recreate it...I'll whine to you if it doesn't but either way wish me luck!!
