Sweet new, old floors

It seems she snuck into the bottom of this picture as well...like I said she was excited to show off this project!
I still have to finish off the edges of the white. Since it is a wood floor, the cracks led to lots of running paint...but all in all I am a happy camper and the floors look a million times better!!!

PS: I have no clue why blogger is making the first bit a link...silly blogger...I am 100% sure it is not me and my lack of blogger skills:)

Hi Megan,

I stumbled on your blog and just had to comment. Hubby and I did the very same thing to our floors in our previous home. I painted them the same brown and did a diamond pattern under the dinning table. I wish I had taken pics! It was really pretty, but easily scratched up even with the varnish. :(
Yours looks great! And your model is adoorable!

You did a wonderful job, what a great solution to make your floors look great again without spending a handful of money. The boarder just makes it!

What a creative solution to your problem, and they look great! I'm sure it was a lot of work, but it looks like it was worth the effort.

That looks so great- and how great to get a creative and custom look for SO much less then just refinishing them or replacing them. Especially while you have a little one and dogs!!
